The SIGMA ROX 8.0 is water resistant, which

means that the cyclist can ride in the rain

without any risk to the computer. The buttons

may also be pressed in rainy conditions.

Should water get into the interior of the

SIGMA ROX 8.0, please remove the battery

and dry it on a radiator, for example. After

drying the unit and re-installing the battery,

the SIGMA ROX 8.0 is ready for the road

again.

8.1.1 WATER-TIGHTNESS OF THE SIGMA ROX 8.0

8.1.2 CARE OF THE CHEST BELT

Clean the chest belt with mild soap after each

use. Avoid caustic cleaning agents or those

containing alcohol, as they are harmful to the

material and can reduce the chest belt‘s life

span.

Always keep the chest belt dry. Avoid storing

the chest belt when damp in plastic bags or

closed sports bags. This can lead to a shorter

battery life, as the chest belt remains active

due to the dampness.

8.1.3 TRAINING TIP

Consult your doctor before beginning

any exercise program. This is particularly

important if you have underlying

cardiovascular problems.

For people with pace makers, we recommend

checking the compatibility of the SIGMA

ROX 8.0 and your pace maker with your

doctor before using the chest belt.
