CONNECTING YOUR CAMERA TO A COMPUTER
The SD10 camera can be connected directly to a computer using the provided USB or
IEEE 1394 (FireWire
TM
) cable. Make sure that the camera is off before connecting it to
the computer. Data transfer rates will vary depending on the computer and operating
system used. The fastest transfer rates can be obtained using IEEE 1394. For further
information, please refer to the SIGMA Photo Pro User Guide, which is available in PDF
format on the supplied CD-ROM.
CONNECTING THE CABLES
USB Cable
z The shutter button and color LCD monitor will
be disabled while the camera is connected to
the computer via a USB cable.
z The camera will shut down after 15 minutes of
inactivity—no images being transferred—when
connected to the computer via a USB cable.
IEEE 1394 (FireWire™) Cable
z Connect the IEEE1394 (FireWire™) directly to
the computer please be sure that the other end
of the cable can be connected to the computer’s
IEEE 1394 terminal.

Please use only the USB or IEEE 1394 cables supplied with your camera.
